Serving as payments experts they help members follow the rules, remain in good standing with their processors, lower fraud and chargebacks, reduce potential costs, and avoid penalties and fines across all merchants in the industry.
In her role as SVP, Everyday Spend Merchant Sales for Visa, Inc., based in Wilmington Delaware, Sharon Haines leads teams that work with Billers, Restaurants and Fuel merchants to improve their utilization of and value derived from the Visa Network. Sharon and her team have been instrumental in gathering feedback from merchants, acquirers and processors about pain points, challenges and needs in payments processing and sharing this information with Visa’s product, risk and compliance teams to advocate for change and drive improvements to the payments ecosystem for the merchant community.
Lisa has over 20 years of experience in Risk Management, Strategic Client Management, Payments Operations, eCommerce and Recurring payments strategy and has served a wide range of online retail merchants and acquirers, including Victoria’s Secret Catalogue, Nordstrom.com and Litle&Co/Vantiv and Chase Paymentech. In both her current and prior roles, Lisa’s focus has been on building teams, process and procedure to mitigate and fight fraud and driving client satisfaction, representing the voice of the customer as an internal advocate as well as with payment brands and industry organizations.
Kathleen Butler has over 20 years of experience in strategic client development and has spent the last 13 years at Discover. Prior to joining Discover, she managed the Walmart and Sam’s Club business for First Data. Her vast experience spans across e-commerce, recurring payments, marketing, chargeback management, and operations. Kathleen is an innovative thought leader and trusted advisor working with clients to identify and solution complex issues.
Julie Fergerson, Senior Vice President of Industry Solutions at Ethoca, is one of the industry’s foremost experts on Internet payments fraud. Fergerson has over 20 years of experience in the online payments and fraud management industry and holds patents for secure transaction order management processing and preventing fraudulent electronic transactions.
For over four years, Laura has led one of the e-commerce relationship management teams at Vantiv. Prior to Vantiv, she held leadership roles at Nasdaq and WGBH Boston. In her spare time, she enjoys running marathons and describing live theater for the visually impaired. She lives in Ayer, MA with her husband and twin daughters.
JJ Kieley is the Vice President, Payment Consulting Group, US and LAC. The Payments Consulting Group (PCG) is responsible for providing payment processing technical expertise and consulting to American Express merchants, third party processors and payment service providers.
As a member of the PCG organization he is responsible for partnering with merchant-facing, product development and technical organizations within American Express to develop and deliver payment-related solutions for the US and Latin America. These solutions are primarily focused on payment security solutions (e.g. EMV and Safekey) and emerging payment solutions (e.g. digital wallet, in-app and tokenization).
Joseph Leija is General Manager, North America at Ingenico ePayments. He has over 20 years’ generating top results in the banking and electronic payments industry and has worked with many of the top 100 global eCommerce merchants, enabling them to expand their businesses internationally. Before joining Ingenico ePayments, Leija worked with Sage Payment Services, helping to expand the company’s footprint among associations and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs). Prior to that, he was a Vice President with Chase Paymentech, running a team that consulted directly with merchants and supporting their global expansions. Earlier in his career, Leija worked for First Data, where he managed the Relationship Management team supporting T&E clients. In addition, Leija developed and supported the company’s international strategy. Joe serves as a board member for Payment’s Ed. He has an MBA in Finance from Loyola University Chicago, and he currently lives in San Francisco with his family.
John Hierholzer is Vice President of Operations and Infrastructure on the MasterCard North America Market Development team. In this role, he is responsible for defining and driving technology enhancements to improve processing efficiencies. He is also responsible for supporting the rollout of new technologies such as MasterPass, MasterCard Digital Enable Service, Tokenization and BIN expansion in an effort to expand acceptance, cardholder benefits and security of the MasterCard network.
Previously, John was a member of the Global Proxy Office. He also played a key role in MasterCard’s initial public offering and helped facilitate MasterCard’s transition to become a publicly traded company.
In the Group Manager role, Caroley Parsons is responsible for orchestrating the efforts of the National Account Management Team to ensure unparalleled service levels, focusing on building and maintaining long-term relationships with clients specializing in retail, catalog, Internet, and other multi-channel businesses to our top tier customers.
Karen Coffey has been a payments industry enthusiast for over 18 years. Karen’s roles have included client management, training, consulting and strategic planning.
Adam Hollis has 15 years of ecommerce payments experience and is currently Senior Vice President of Business Development for Vindicia, an Amdocs company. In his role at Vindicia Adam is responsible for global partnerships ranging from revenue recognition software to payment acquirers and gateways. Adam’s other experience includes management roles with JPMorgan Chase and W. Capra Consulting.
Layne LaBadie is Vice President of Business Development and National Account Management for JCB International Credit Card Co., Ltd. She has over 20 years of experience in the payments industry. Her current responsibilities include Relationship Management, Marketing and growing JCB card acceptance for major accounts in Electronic Commerce, Retail, and Travel and Entertainment.
