The DRF PaymentsEd Forum, a non-profit organization focusing on delivering educational and networking opportunities to card-not-present (CNP) payment professionals, recently appointed Julie Fergerson, senior vice president of Industry Solutions for Ethoca, to its Merchant Advisory Board. All Board members are charged with delivering high-level educational and networking opportunities for tenured payments professionals and those just beginning their careers.

Fergerson has over 20 years of experience in the online payments and fraud management industry, as well as holds patents for secure transaction order management processing and preventing fraudulent electronic transactions. She joined Ethoca, one of the industry’s foremost experts on Internet payments fraud, in 2010 to help drive adoption of its collaborative ecommerce fraud prevention platform. Prior to Ethoca, Fergerson was vice president of Emerging Technologies at Debix, as well as co-founder and vice president of Emerging Technologies at ClearCommerce. She is a co-founder of the Merchant Risk Council (MRC) and an Identity Theft Resource Center (ITRC) board member. At the ITRC, she created and lead the Victim Assistance Program, a collaborative effort between the National Cyber Forensics Training Alliance (NCTFA), the ITRC and Debix to provide notification and assistance to consumers whose identities have been compromised and found on crime servers by law enforcement.
