Attendees Access Payments Professionals and Industry Veterans for Education on Industry Trends, Solutions and More

MINNEAPOLIS –(August 19, 2015) – The DRF…Educating Payment Professionals, a non-profit organization educating Card Not Present (CNP) payment professionals by providing industry-related educational opportunities, recently concluded its 2015 Forum in Minneapolis with more than 300 companies from the payments industry.

“This year’s conference had an exceptional line-up of speakers and significant attendance from the payments industry. In fact, we had more than 65 first-time merchant attendees to this year’s conference,” said Barbara Hvasta, Senior Director, Strategy, Fuel & Payments at Telogis, Inc. and DRF board member. “For people new to the payments industry, this was a great opportunity to learn the basics from the best and brightest. For payments veterans, comparing notes and learning from peers was the real draw.”

Known for its premiere educational opportunities, the DRF offers an affordable option for payments professionals who want to enhance their knowledge and further their advancement in the industry. The event featured presentations from BitPay, Discover, The Federal Reserve, Google, JCB, MasterCard, Visa and more on a broad set of topics including fraud prevention, alternative payments, industry trends and operational best practices that shape the credit card and payments landscape.

“After being in the payments industry for more than 10 years, I learn the most from my peers,” said Brian Kehn, president of the Board of Directors. “As a member of DRF, I have access to the most up-to-date payments industry information and its key players. Such insight enables me to bring back real-world solutions and help my company implement them to increase revenues and streamline processes.”

According to Fred Rodriguez, Executive Vice President of HomeServe USA and a DRF Eagle Advisor, learning about the challenges in the card-not-present transaction landscape is a job in itself. “In two short days, our attendees were able to learn the critical trends shaping the payments industry, such as how to better prepare for the implications of EMV deployment.”

2016 DRF is scheduled for August 8-10, 2016 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
